1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the PeopleConnect platform operated by People Connect Ltd. By using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.

2. The Platform

PeopleConnect is a lead generation marketplace that connects homeowners seeking home services with local service businesses. We do not provide the services ourselves and are not a party to any contract between homeowners and businesses.

3. For Homeowners

  • Submitting a quote request is free of charge
  • You agree to provide accurate information in your quote requests
  • Your contact details will be shared with businesses that accept your lead
  • PeopleConnect does not guarantee that you will receive quotes
  • Any contract for services is between you and the service business directly

4. For Service Businesses

  • You must be legally authorised to provide the services you offer
  • You agree to pay the applicable lead fee when accepting a lead
  • Lead fees are non-refundable except in cases of demonstrably invalid leads
  • You must not contact homeowners for purposes other than the requested service
  • You are responsible for maintaining appropriate insurance and licences
  • We reserve the right to suspend accounts that breach these terms

5. Payments

Payments are processed securely via Stripe. By accepting a lead, you authorise PeopleConnect to charge the applicable lead fee to your registered payment method. Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance.

6. Reviews

Reviews must be genuine and based on actual experience. We reserve the right to remove reviews that are fraudulent, defamatory, or in breach of these terms. Businesses must not incentivise or manipulate reviews.

7. Limitation of Liability

PeopleConnect is a marketplace platform and is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by businesses listed on the platform. Our liability is limited to the fees paid to us in the 3 months preceding any claim.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
